What licensing applies to our work?

I'd like to understand what license will be applied to the work that we create.
- I understand that publishing a book in 2007 is a goal.
- I understand that companies (such as Spiral Dynamics) strive to "license" ideas, maps, and language, which they consider to be their intellectual property.
I feel it is appropriate to know, at the front, what kind of licensing terms and controls will be applied to my individual output, and our collective output.
